Bumble & Tweet by Julie West

These are a couple of gorgeous figures we have been watching for awhile and they are nearly here. Julie West with Strangeco have done an awesome job. Bumble and Tweet come with beehive and nest bonnets respectively and each has either magnetic bees or birds to adorn them. This special Spring edition is as beautiful as a fresh day in May or if your down under September!

New series 3 Teddy Troops and a big Buff!

Adfunture always has a strong list of artists and the new series of Teddy Troops proves it. Series 3 has 10 designs compared to 3 in the previous series with Flying Fortress ,KRSN, Mr Jago, Parskid, SEEN, Jeremy Fish, Frank Kozik and Joe Ledbetter all contributing. There is also 2 chase figures. This series comes blindboxed for the first time but apparently there is a basic set of 10 in every case and you get the chance to find a mystery figure you can brag about to your friends!
We can't wait to get our hands an these Troops especially the J.Fish. Sillypinkbunnies rock!
If that wasn't enough, a new 10in Buff Monster Troop is about to drop as well. This one is sick!with a nice clean design and Buff's signature pink accents.I don't see this one hanging around at retail for long.

Nathan J's Munky King

Nathan Jurevicius better known for his engaging Scarygirl characters. Is giving us his fantastic rendition of The Monkey King from the Chinese novel Journey to the West or you might remember him from Monkey Magic. Nathan originally created a short animation of the Monkey King for Mtv Asia then the folks at Munky King took the opportunity to make a toy of their namesake. Which we are lucky enough to get our hands on!

The Monkey King Earth editon looks a lot bigger than it's 8 inches in height suggest. He comes with a removable cloud base ,staff and crown. The paint on this figure is great and the cloud has a pretty sweet fade treatment to it.The best part about this figure is it's dexterity with a bendy tail able to hold the staff in all sort of kung-fu poses ready to kick ass!It is limited to 600 pieces world wide.

We could make a habit of this.

Artrage invited us to have a stall at the Northbridge festival which we jumped at even my youngest daughter was keen to help although i probably should have mentioned that a big smelly poop is not the best way to attract customers! A quick change behind the aptly named crappy cat, she was good to go and soon had people flocking to the stall. Bless her little cotton socks.

It was a lot of fun with the festival rockin' on around us and plenty of interested and interesting people checking out the toys.

Rowdy Hermit gets out!

A month ago we came out of hiding and set up shop at the Nexus toy fair. It was a great day and we would like to thank all the people who came out and supported us. It was great to put faces to some of our customers and to hear your thoughts on designer toys and collecting.
Nexus is held 4 times a year at the east vic park rec centre. If your a toy collector it's a must do event on the calender.
We hope to see you at the next one.
